Social Networking Platform
A social network where people post, connect, chat and find work. I was its top contributor (1,300+ commits). I owned the feed, jobs, chat and admin, and built the AI recommendations that decide what each person sees.

What I built
- Owned the feed (posts, reposts, likes, comments, mentions), plus connections, jobs and job applications.
- Built the AI recommendations behind the feed. AWS Bedrock turns posts, jobs and profiles into embeddings, and Qdrant finds the ones that suit each person.
- Fixed the feed showing the same post twice or skipping posts between pages. Each person now gets a shuffle that stays the same for an hour, with things they haven't seen shown first.
- Built real-time one-to-one chat and notifications, with read receipts.
- Tracked down a concurrency bug that froze chat under load, and reproduced it with a stress test of 10,000 connections.
- Added the safety features: two-factor login, rate limits on one-time codes, audit logs, data masking by role, and GDPR-compliant account deletion.
